Some scholars differ in their understanding of the existence of sihr and its capacity to have a real impact. Some claim sihr has no real effect on a person and that it is all in the imagination. They deny all kinds of magic and believe that in reality it is all in the imagination and suggest that it is the opposite of reality. Some claim that it only affects a person if it is made with poison, smoke etc and that it needs to come into contact with the person.
